The Chevrolet S-10 is a small pickup truck manufactured by Chevrolet. It was the first compact pickup made in the United States by the main three American automakers. The GMC version was originally known as the S-15 and later renamed the GMC Sonoma when it was first debuted as a "quarter-ton truck" in 1981 for the 1982 model year. GMC Syclone was the moniker given to a high-performance variant launched in 1991. From 1996 to 2000, Isuzu also sold the pickup as the Hombre, but solely in North America. The Chevrolet S-10 Blazer/GMC S-15 Jimmy was also available as an SUV. In 1997 and 1998, an electric variant was rented as a fleet vehicle. The S-series is the collective name for these pickups.
