HISTORY OF A MYTHICAL SHIP: SWIFT

The Swift was an early 19th century Virginia pilot ship. Light-weight and over powered twin master ship, it safely guided larger incoming vessels into port.

Pilot boats technical features let the great naval powers of the time to enlarge them creating the famous Baltimore Clippers class.
