SKU: ILK63502 | Brand: I Love Kit | Product: I Love Kit 1/35 M19 Tank Transporter with Soft Top Cab Plastic Model Kit [63502] The Diamond T980/981 Tank Transporter served as a heavy-duty tank hauling vehicle throughout World War II and beyond. Chicago-based Diamond T Company developed the original 980 model following a 1940 British Purchasing Commission request to evaluate American manufacturers for a tank-transport solution. Leveraging its established reputation constructing military vehicles for the U.S. Army Quartermaster Corps, Diamond T modified its prototype heavy vehicle to meet British specifications, yielding an initial 200-unit order. The resulting Diamond T 980/981 became one of the most successful vehicles in its category. Its 14.5-litre Hercules diesel engine generated 201 bhp, enabling transport of the heaviest tanks then operational. This 1:35 scale plastic model kit (Item No. 63502, SKU ILK63502) represents the US M19 variant with soft top cab configuration. Model length: 464mm.
